ALPHABET MASQUERADE

Visual Branding Project (FMP)

The concept explores how the names assigned to us at birth may not truly resonate or define us, touching on themes of transness and gender identity.

The posters humorously underscore the idea that the formality of one’s name doesn’t have to carry as much weight as often thought.

Much like changing our looks, altering hairstyles, or clothes, the ability to change one’s name is showcased as a liberating and playful aspect of identity.

This project begun with my want to design a font, but left displeased by my first attempt,I took a different approach and created a font comprised of faces.

While not designed for readability, it serves as a metaphorical play. Named the “Alphabet Masquerade,” the font blurs traditional letter forms, emphasising the fluidity of identity.
